As part of the INTER-OPEN project, we are pleased to highlight the participation of our doctoral researcher, Donia Ayari, and Mohammadtaher Azampour at the SEMIC 2025 Conference held in Copenhagen on 25–26 November 2025, organised by the European Commission in partnership with the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The conference centred on the theme “Interoperability for Impact”, showcasing how interoperability directly supports the ambitions of the Interoperable Europe Act. SEMIC 2025 brought together policy-makers, researchers, public-sector representatives, and digital innovation specialists to discuss how interoperability can move from strategic vision to practical implementation across Europe’s digital public services.
During the event, participants explored the role of interoperability in strengthening connectivity, promoting openness, and enabling the transformation of digital ecosystems in the EU. The discussions and sessions were closely aligned with the objectives of Inter-oPEn.
Participation in SEMIC 2025 provided valuable insights into the latest policy directions, technical initiatives, and collaborative opportunities that support interoperable solutions—knowledge that will directly contribute to the continuing research within Inter-oPEn.
